We are a non profit start up, based in Switzerland, working on a wonderful international environmental project.
Our mission
Make Ecosystems Great Again (MEGA) is a global initiative for biodiversity, conservation and humanity’s reconnection with nature — a Swiss non-profit with international reach and an international project scope, built on one conviction: we will only protect what we truly love.
Our mission is to reawaken a genuine, emotional connection between people and the natural world, and to channel that love and enchantment into measurable conservation and rewilding action.
Make Ecosystems Great Again (MEGA) conserves and promotes biodiversity, protects and restores natural habitats and ecosystems, and champions nature conservation, environmental protection, animal welfare and animal rights, with a special focus on wild animals. The association promotes awareness-raising, education and training for people of all ages in all of these fields; strengthens people’s connection with nature; and promotes the responsible use of natural resources. It recognises that intact ecosystems and a close bond between humans and nature are foundations of human wellbeing and health, and therefore advances health education through forest bathing, forest and marine therapy, ecopsychology…
Make Ecosystems Great Again (MEGA) supports science and research, as well as art and culture, insofar as they serve these objectives. It advocates for the intrinsic value of nature and the animals living within it, honouring ethical, philosophical, spiritual and religious perspectives, and its activities are guided by the relevant United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The association is non-profit: surplus funds are used exclusively to fulfil its purpose, and its governing bodies work on a voluntary basis.
In the end we will conserve only what we love, we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we are taught.

The Five Pillars
Make Ecosystems Great Again (MEGA) work rests on five mutually reinforcing pillars — together they form a comprehensive ecosystem
of change:
1. Holism — Wellbeing, ecopsychology and human health (healing & nature)
2. Education — Schools, children and young people: embedding love and respect for nature in the
formative experiences of childhood and youth
3. Universities — Research, legal advocacy, urban and infrastructure planning. Giving young people
a way to channel their worries and shape a better future for the planet and humanity.
4. Cinema & Television — Media, culture and celebrity engagement (lobby for nature and health’s
improvements in nature)
5. Direct Conservation — Action, policy, conservation & rewilding
Each pillar strengthens the others. To deliver them, we engage academics, biologists, scientists, psychologists, journalists, writers, illustrators, nature videographers & photographers, visual artists, musicians, producers, directors and public figures — selecting those who share our mission and values.
